It's funny how much of a difference new wheels and tires makes isn't it? Great looking comet! Good luck with it.

    Comet Dad...

    ...that is looking pretty sharp.
What kind of shape is your
    Comet gas cap in?
I have a few in good shape if
    you are interested in buying
another. I went a little crazy
on E-bay. I kept buying them
    and getting better ones each
    time.

Let me know and I can e-mail
    you a pic.

It's amazing what just a set of Cragars can do for a car.

Looks GREAT!!! Better bring it to Waco for the Texas Mini-Meet.

It looks great. Cragars are timeless mod that always seems to enhance the appearance of any car from that era.

    thanx

    hi there.
Yes, those are THE Cragar Super Sports. (the same rims I 've wanted since I was 16) Got a decent deal on some used ones and wrapped them in BF Goodrich Radial T/A's 215/60/14's. I wanted some 15" but I think the 14" look as good or better. If we didn't know better, people might think this was my car. UPDATE: replaced all kinds of stuff on the car (plugs, wires, oil, antifreeze, belts......) and wed night my son calls and says the car is spewing water (radiator hose sprung a leak...forgot to replace those) also, check out the rear leaf spring helpers, 39.99 at local O'Rielly's. Cheaper than new or re-arching and seem to work O.K. :p
