Hey guys/gals...car is coming along nicely...it should be done in time for the worcester summer nationals on june 30..:dancingpa.::crossing fingers::....I just have a caprpet question. I have a 69.5 which I know has a slightly different tranny tunnel in it than the 70-up's...is there a specific carpet I should be looking for..?...

Also..I saw a seller 'newenglandmustang' on ebay...has anybody dealt with them for carpet?...and how was the quality?..I dont see anybody up there selling AAC carpet right now, and autokrafters is asking $150 now....

Thanks in advance for any help

The carpet directly from them (acc) is 210 with shipping....thats pretty expensive for a carpet. I can get one on ebay from new england mustang for 120 shipped...I just am unsure of the quality......

They are only known as 69.5 by Maverick enthusiasts, tell them it is a 70. The floorpan changed in 1971.

I guess that could be viewed as politically incorrect! I shall change it.:D

But I guess I would fit into that category.:hmmm:

Last carpet I got from ACC was $120. Guess the price has really gone up. Then again, I usually buy from them at car shows. You usually get a discount and free shipping if they dont have it at the show.

But i am sure that the tranny tunnel is more narrow in the 69.5...(squeezed a T-5 into mine)....I dont know how much it matters though...

Same here...I've never paid more than that for a carpet set from ACC or anybody.

No. 69.5 is the same as and technically is a 70. The tunnel didn't change until 71.

She's right. I called ACC a few months back and that was the price I was given $210. I asked if that was right and the woman said yes they had a price increase sometime last year. Which sucks cuz ACC is only about 25 miles from me, but now its cheaper to buy somewhere else and have it shipped, than to pick it up from ACC.
