I work at a Midas store and we will be replacing a cracked exhaust manifold for a customer with a 1972 4-door Maverick.

    Couple of questions:

    1) Any ideas on where to source it?
    2) How can we identify which 6 cylinder engine is in the car (170, 200 or 250 CID)?

    THANKS!!!!!

I believe the Mustang supply houses have 6 cyl manifolds. If not, used is probably your only option.

All 6 cylinder exaust manifolds are interchangeable back into the 60's all the way up to the late 70's, regardless of the CID of the engine. The main thing is you need to make sure you get one with the same size outlet as the exaust pipe. And there is a very good chance that one or more exaust bolts will break off when you remove it unless you are very careful.
