Has anyone cut the front springs to lower the front end or do you know a place that sells maverick coil springs that will lower the front end about 1 inch? Will this affect alignment or cause any problems?

    Springs

Have done many cars this way. Use an air or electric tool with a cut off wheel, not a torch. About one to one and a half coils. Take it to a shop and get it realigned for sure. Watch out for bumps in the road and have fun with it.

Like Oldguy said, never use a torch on a spring. I cut 1 coil out of mine and it went from being slightly raised in the front end to level or a slight rake in the front.

If you have a 302 you can install 6 cylinder springs, works out about the same.

Or you could buy aftermarket Mustang springs for less than 100 and it will actually handle better too!!!

    Pic for Todd

Todd, this is with a 302 that went into an original 200 car. I haven't changed anything in the front. This gives you an idea anyhow. Country

Looks like Im headed to a junkyard. It'll look funny with my new leaf springs with the two inch lift! Thanks. That clears it up pretty well.
