    How much, on average, will it cost me to have these seats redone? Or would it be better to buy new ones? These I beleive are Escort GT and look pretty cool in my Comet. The tracks are good and they are pretty sturdy, opinions welcome..

    I have a set of those in my 71 and I also put a set in the 77 I used to have. Very comfy. I removed the head rest in the 77. Cost will depend on your area.

    Well, they fit... The studs on the bottom get new holes in floor and I used the origional spacers or whatever they are called and nut them in from under the car. Currently redoing the interior so when the carpet goes in... that will be fun:bath:

    In my case I had Maverick bucket seat rails. Like most Fords, they use the same size frame so they bolted right on the rails. For the 77, I had to cut the right side inner rail down because of the cat hump.

    Cool, so original bucket seat rails bolt directly to Escort GT seats...

    let me explain myself...

    those prices come off of what i would expect to pay if i was still living in tucson.. i was quoted at 500 for the bench and 400 for the back seat out there.

    i live in iowa now.. the price might be less.. not sure.. but the material alone is about 100-200 bucks and then you gotta figure the labor to cut and sew it all to fit the seats

    Ohh, well just add shipping to my grandma's house in Indianapolis onto that. She's been doing upholstery since the 50's. She did the seats in my dad's Comet, both when they were black and again when they were gray and blue.
