hi guys,i am looking for a tranny(3or4 speed on the floor).i have a chance to get a three speed out of a 66 mustang, unfortunatly it looks just like the one that came out of my 69.5,with the 200 six.
is there a bellhousing that will bolt to it to mate it to a 302,or should i look for one mated to a 250,or 302?any and all answers and advice is appreciated.drive safe...chuck.

Hi, My parts aren't for sale but wanted to say that I have a 3 speed pulled from a 74 250 IL6 and it sits on my bench next to a top loader 4 speed from a 69 Torino and they look to have the same shaft, bolt pattern, and lenth from the tip of the shaft to the flat that bolts to the bell... good luck, Phil

The manual transmissions are the same for all engine sizes in the Maverick and, for that matter, Mustangs. Both 3 speed and toploader 4 speeds (ones from Mustangs) are interchangable. Even the BW T10 will interchange. Top Loaders from other full sized Ford prducts will bolt up but may have a longer tailshaft.
