I got mine yesterday, and so far, no issues in my computer or my sony 5 disc changer (it is several years old too). I will check it in my other two players and other computers also. I assume it was one of the 'new' discs.

Lance; got mine yesterday, and it is just like the first one, freezes and skips. Might be my disc player, so I will try it on another, newer player. Do you have a suggestion as to what I need to view it? Let me know, and thanks again.

    Earl

I talked to some experts and it comes down to a few other things as well. I can't remember the termonolgy but something to do with the amount of information read at one time. Maybe it was called bit rate. Older players or even some new ones can't handle more than 7000 to 8000 bit rates(or whatever it was called) Even if it is compatible with dvd+R or DVD-r. I am thinking in this case it is the player. Did you try your comperture Earl? Worse case I suffer through a DVD to VHS copy. Whatever it takes. I would recommend a newer player that specifically states the following. It plays the following DVD-R and DVD+R or RW, CD-R,J-peg and MP3 for maximum versatility. My new one cost about 65.00 and was a Name brand Sony. It is model number DVP-NS55P

Lance; I was thinking the same thing. I am going to get a different player, or borrow a friends, and see what goes. I will let you know. Thanks,

Mine finally arrived Lance. Played no problem in my ancient, cheap-like-borscht Electrohome DVD player. Thanks for all your time and effort! :tiphat:

I got my second one and it works as good as the first. My home DVD player is a Sony and is about 5 yrs old. When I put the disc in, it says the disk is dirty. I'm guessing it cant read it and that is the default reason.

Please note ...I`m not posting this as a complaint...it is just for informational purposes. I went out and bought a new Magnavox player today that says it plays :

    DVD,DVD+R,+RW,DVD-R,DVD-RW formats.

It will only play the "interviews" on either of the discs ,first one or the new replacement one .:slap:

BUT my old 2 yr. old Samsung unit will only play the "interviews" on the first disc...but will play ALL of the new disc and only locks up sometimes.

Dan H. did you get my p.m. ???

No thanks, I dont want a VSH. What is different about this DVD that is making it unplayable? I always though a DVD is a DVD is a DVD.

There are different formats. There are compatibility issues with amount of data played at any given speed. I watched every single video I sent out the second time. My player played them fine. I took a copy up to my dads and it wouldn't play on his Mintek. It would play on my younger brothers ancient Sony go figure. Dennis I will send you and anybody else a full refund who is not happy. I will send it out Monday at the latest. Sorry for the hassle. I did everything I could even paying somebody else to make this **** happen. I wasn't going to put a dollar figure on it but at this point figure on me losing better than $500.00 or more. Hey that's life and I soaked it up as a learning expeirence. Honestly at this point I wish I never made the damn thing. In fact I would say 2006 will likely not have a video unless somebody else steps up. I don't feel my effort was appreciated....

I did it out of my fondness for mavericks with no intention of making a profit but to lost that much after trying so hard........:(
