Power steering valve problems - HELP

I'm having problems with a brand new power steering valve. Basically the power steering is not working after the installation, or is very stiff. The old valve was leaking all over the place but the steering seemed to be OK (in snow).

I found these installation instructions on the web and first connected the hoses like the illustration shows, but then the steering wheel went crazy so I swapped the hoses.

Anybody got pictures of how the hoses are supposed to be connected?
Which hose is the pressure hose on the pump? and which is the pressure input and which return on the control valve?

I have tried everything, even took the valve apart to see if it was correctly assembled, and it seemed to be OK.

    HELP please :banghead:

Here is a picture of the valve:

Could be a defective valve. I would contact the people you got it from. If everything worked before, and you only changed the valve, it should work now.

Bought the car in january and got it delivered on a flatbead truck, but had to drive a few miles.

Yes, but I live a long way from autokrafters (luckylly for them:smash:)

I disconnnected all the hoses, so it's possible that I didn't connect them correctly.

Does anybody have a picture that shows the connections to the valve?
