ok my dad wants to fly out and do this to the maverick and i was wondering what this will really do to the car. I understand that it makes room for wider back tires and smaller ones up front but what else really changes? like stearing or braking or is it even streetable
many cars on the street are tubbed. just allows wider tires on the rear. shouldn't affect too much if you don't go real radical. dosent do anything to the front. after he gets the practice with yours send him my way.
Back seats are for sissys! http://www.5hp.hill.cc/hotrod/page5/ And yes, the car was street driven like that for years. We put about 20,000 miles on it after tubbing it out. I am planning to do it again to one of my Mavericks one day. 'Cept it will have a built 460. :evilsmile
