    Sorry, I don't have a pic, but what's the box under the radio? I don't have an electric starter, and everyone I ask doesn't have know.

    Thanks for the help.

    It's the seatbelt interlock control box. If you unplug it, your car won't start. There is a switch under the hood right in front of the drivers side shock tower. Cut the wires to it and twist them all together to bypass the box, then you can remove it.

    There are a couple of threads regarding this. Some have "burned out", others were just annoying. easy to bypass, but it is against FEDERAL LAW. Of course, that federal law was passed in 73 to apply to 74 cars, and by late 74 they finally figured out it was a stupid law, and repealed it. So only the 74 cars have the "yellow box"

    My 75 has one too...
    It must have burned out long ago because I hacked it out and nothing happened.
    I never knew what it was, but I figured it was something silly like this.

    wow, I didnt know they had those, I guess I would have learned quickly about it if mine was a '74.

    and I thought the malfunctioning seatbelt buzzer was annoying... :16suspect geez.
