hey guys ive got a 73 comet and was wanting a decode on the vin(searched first). any guidness would be nice! guy i boght it from said it was org. motor and trans(302, c4), but when id order parts for it theyd be the wrong set up id need( ordered plugs and got very big threads but motor has the 5/8 plugs) also the trans has a plug or two hangin down off it, i know its not the orignal trans since the clutch petal is still attached! thanks for any help guys!
you mean my c-4 is supposed to have a clutch pedal?? J\K. the stock 2 barrel heads were the bigger threads for spark plugs. so he either switched the heads or the whole motor. just ask for 4 barrel spark plugs from now on.
well the guy doesnt know **** bout what work was done it to and he thought it was the orignial motor, im just wanning to see what the vin decodes esp if its a gt model or no

What year is my comet actually? I need washer & wiper parts to Comet. Model number is 3K30L527086. Is this really 1973?? There was only weird lookin' switch in store. Where can I find right parts for this switch..?
The part to the left in your hand is an Air Cleaner wing nut. The other parts are for your wiper switch. You can get a new wiper switch through www.rockauto.com for $37.79, your local parts store or through the parts wanted section of the forum. Standard Ignition part number DS575
