What do you guys think of running a mechanical lift cam in a weekend only car?
What are the downfalls of these cams?
How often do you need to adjust the lifters?
It will be in a 306.
    Thanks Steve

There are no downfalls in my opinion. You just have to make sure that your valvetrain is adjustable and you use the proper complementary valvetrain parts (i.e. guide plates. hardened pushrods, etc.)

If you use the poly locks and it is a weekend car, I wouldn't think you wouldn't have to adjust them more than once a year, if that often.

If you are going to have your foot on the floor board alot then the soild valve train is the way to go. They are a little more work keeping everthing in adjustment but are worth it in the long run.

    Good luck

Only "keyturners" have problems with a solid lifter cam.

    I say go for it

A comp cams 282s 236@50 .528 lift would work pretty good. Or anything around that size
