ok do speedo cables wear out? i bought a new one from autokrafters but its longer than original, my original speedo cable spins freely just like the new one, im thinkin bout puttin the original back in... what do ya think?
i never had 1 go bad ,but that doesnt mean they cant i d put the old one in if it was work all right if it broke dont fix it..
The one in my '72 was bad when I bought the car, the inside part that spins was broke. I've currently got the one from my '74 Grabber in the car which has 203,951 miles on it and it's still working fine. I spray a little PB Blaster in it every time I have the gauge cluster out to keep it lubed up.
Wow, you have a car this old and don't know what PB Blaster is? It puts WD-40 and Liquid Wrench to shame. Smells like Diesel fuel, and just works awesome on basically everything. No tool box is complete without a can. From Google: http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/blp16-pb-ea.html
