Jason, how did you find out about this? I checked their website to see if it was out there and don't see it. Do you know what Clifford is doing as far as head/intake/carburation on this setup?

I think a turbo 250 6 with fuel injection and a cross flow head would rock! Makes me want to hold onto this old 6 I have in my Maverick. Let us know when those cross flow heads come out and what kind of $$$$$$$$$$$$... we can expect to shell out.

I can see this car going through a lot of cold weather engine swaps. LOL!

cliffords site is very confusing :hmmm: to navigate unless you go directly to their clifford 6=8 performance site. i am really excited about this engine and its possibilities. :bananaman :bouncy:

Clifford has been a problem in the past. Check with the guys on fordsix.com to see if their service has gotten any better. I have found most everything they sell for less other places.

We built a 200 for my '63 Ranchero. Lumpy cam and all. It sounds great. Just need to sort the carb and finish installing the T-5.

The 250 is a better torque motor, but I don't think it will rev like a 200.

I've got an extra 250 I will be building for my Mav. 3 carbs, cam and such. The goal is 15 sec. E.T.'s. Ak miller got a 200 mav into the 16's with the same mods in 1969

Jason, I'm pretty sure this long block they are talking about is for the Ford big six...240/300. Not the 170/200/250 series motors.

I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet. But a friend of mine said he's seen a Mav at a track about 3 hours from here run 11's with a inline six. I'm sure the guys done tons of work to the thing buuut its possible to get them running fast. After all look at what the Buick Grand Nationals do with a turbo and six cylinders

Ford small 6's are tuff to do that because of the intake log. The new alloy head or the Aussie head help a lot,but the potential is there with a 300.

I see Chevy/GMC 250-302 inch 6's with a Wayne or Sissel/Kirby 12 port head will run in the 9's at Bakersfield. The old Kay Sissel T-Bucket with his cyl head held the NHRA records for years.

If Chevys can do it, why not a Ford? Cause not enough people have tried!

Check out the old Hotrod Mag stories about Ak Miller's 69 Maverick with a 200 inch motor that ran in the 16's or 17's. Cam and Carb advances will surely improve on that.
