Just finished my disc brake conversion today . When I went to put on the wheels - I was susprised to find that the Ranger wheels would not fit! The center hole is too small. I never thought about checking that since the Ranger had front discs. They fit with drums just fine. Anyone else had this problem? Well now I have a good reason to buy those new wheels.

I used new aftermarket rotors for a Granada. I am not sure what wheels will fit now, wanted Magnum 500s but not sure about the fit.

Are you using 14 or 15'' wheels?
I had 14'' wheels and had to grind out the center hole just a tiny bit and they still rubbed on part of it (I dont have disks but buddy had to use mine as spare)
My 15'' ranger wheels do not rub anywhere.
They are from a 4x4 Ranger

The hubs are @2 3/4" .I think the 4x4 rims do have a larger hole. Thanks again for the input.

Personally I would machine the hub down before I clearenced a rim. You can do it on a brake lathe if you get creative.........

If you just clearance the inside hole on the wheel, you can make it look nice and it fits fine and it has a cover for it, so its not nasty looking (I made mine look decent anyways)
But you could do as mavowar said

I do not have a lathe nor do I want to machine down the rotors. The ranger wheels are not my final choice just what I was using to keep it rolling. Had I knew about the hub size being so large I may have had them machined down long before I put them on! I am off to find some "temp." wheels for the front-as close to free as possable.
