:bananaman Well through the help of those of you on this site I was able to complete my 5 lug swap. I really do appreciate the help of everyone that gave me advice with the swap. I truly saved a lot of time and problems.I put on Cragar S/S 8' wheels. The rubber on the back is 255/60 and on the front went 235/60. I really think it turned out well. What do you think?

What did you end up doing in the rear? Swap entire rear end or just find axles with 5 studs? If entire rear end, what did you put in there? I am getting ready to do a 5 lug swap myself and am wondering what others are doing today. I did one over 20 years ago and don't really remember much about it now...lol:huh:

Gene I put in a complete unit out of a '74 Mav. If you go to the technical area and type in rear ends it will tell you which ones will work. The Granada as well as the fairlanes and comets I understand will also fit. But it is best to go as a complete assy.

You have to swap the entire rearend. The axels will not interchange between 4 and 5 lug rears.

Thanks. BTW, did you happen to change out the leaf springs at the same time? Mine are sagging and I hear JCWhitney offers them that work well. Any clearance issues with those front tires?
