Well my maverick now runs and drives from the key, the boyfriend finished plumbing the cell last night. Just needs some cosmetics around the fuel cell, and I will be good to go. The car should be driving to get its custom bent exhaust in the near future (weather dependent...supposed to snow here this weekend...damn new england!)...needs one brake line replaced and she will be making her maiden drive other than around the block. I have some progress pics if I can just get them to upload...well here goes nothing....I think I got 5 pics to load...I will load the rest in this thread...

The engine compartment needs to be detailed out a little bit, but it is only gonna get worse when we start sanding away on this car...and the console isnt quite finished yet. I forget what the console came out of, but we are going to fab a shift plate for it...I think it looks like it belongs in this car though.

Not too much clearence in that engine compartment with the Alum Rad, and that electric fan...so glad I spent the money on the polished pulleys that you can barely see  ....oh well...live and learn...

Pretty soon we will be moving into my part of helping with the car...I get to sand down the whole car for paint... ..Okay I'm not really that excited about that sort of work, but at least we are making progress, I just wish the weather would break a little bit here in CT. Working in the garage when it is 20 degrees outside isnt really fun, with a heater or not...

But last year I didnt think this car was ever gonna drive when it was sitting in our garage with no motor, no tranny, no gas tank...But it is coming along...A lot of $$$$ later....

I have to decide on what color to paint this car still...I change my mind just about daily on what looks good...I want something that is gonna get this car noticed...Any Ideas?...

Okay gotta get ready for work...dont think my boss would understand that I was late because I was posting car pictures....:tsk:

If anybody has any feedback, or ideas about the pics and the progress of my car so far please let me know. I love to know what you guys/gals think!!

I like that color myself...but the boyfriend doesn't...I know its my car, and he would paint it that color if I really wanted it...But he is the guy doing all the work, so I want him to have a say in the color...

I was thinking a bright pink, so that he would be embarassed to drive it and then I would have the car all to myself!!!...:rofl2: ...Probly not gonna be pink...but who knows....
Thats a good idea, with the vote...I would have to find samples of the colors I am thinking of, and take some pics...:hmmm: I guess I could do that...

Try to find out where that center console came from...that would be a good start for what I want to build.

    Thanks in advance....scott

I am running a t-5 tranny with a short throw shifter...but the arm was so short that the boyfriend stole my shift knob, and put the hurst t-handle style shifter on there...I like it better that way...

I cant wait to start ripping through the gears with this car....
