...but it's definetly a fixer-upper. I haven't ran across many Mavericks in Houston (population of 4 million +), especially any for sale. I wouldn't mind having a nice daily driver (302/AC). I'm NOT looking for a fixer-upper though. The one I have now gets litte attention as it is without a stable-mate. I'm patiently waiting for a small bumpered 302 with A/C with little or no work to be done on it. A buddy flagged this one for me so I went and looked at it (through the fence) today. The place was closed. I'll call tomorrow to see how much he wants for it and to see if he's been watching Barret-Jackson lately. I'll post up the results of my findings tomorrow.
Looks like it has had a hard life...too bad. Depending on the price though...it can be saved I hope! Has to be worth at least $3000(kidding big time eh!)
That One Looks To Be A Serious Fixer Upper. Looks To Have Been Smacked Hard In The Rear. That Rear Quarter Is Buckled In 2 Places And Pretty Rusty. If You Are Handy It Could Be Saved But It Looks Like A Project. Good Luck In Your Search.
Car lot? If that's a used car lot the price is increased right off the bat. But looks like there should be something interesting under the hood, interior redone. You don't get lucky if you don't ask. The scoop and wing are worth $2000 though
rick, is that the one on hempstead road. i talked to someone there about 3 months ago. he said it was his boss' and he was asking 3000.00.
OH NO!! YES! This is the one. Oh well, I'll give 'em a call and toy with his emotions anyway. :evilsmile me: "Just give me the keys and I'll pay you the 3 Grand when I straighten up my life."
it's worth a call anyway.maybe he came down on his price. that is only about 15 min from where i keep my car.
Here's how the call went today (on my third attempt to get an answer through out the day): I finally get an answer at his "place of business." Him: Hello? Me: I was calling to speak to someone about the Maverick for sale - would that be you? Him: Yes. Me: Can you tell me about it and how much you want for it? Him: Three thousand dollars. It's got a hopped up engine and stuff. It's a project car - not a daily driver. Me: I was looking for a daily driver. Thanks though. Bye. <Click>.
still has not come down in price i see.theres another one one spring-cypress real close too stuebner-airline.i looked at it about 3 years ago really rough. he also wanted 3 grand,as of about 1 month ago it was still there.
