How many people's Maverick didn't come with...

    ...a rear license-plate lamp??

    My '73 has one, but I have a coworker who owns a '72 Maverick that he bought new in '72, and it does not have, nor has it ever had a rear license-plate lamp. :huh: Well, his wife got pulled over by a cop last night for it.

    Funny how it has never been an issue in 34 years, and then she gets pulled over for it. :hmmm:
    Is this just a fluke, or did older Mavericks not come with that feature?...:confused:

    sounds like a factory defect, it has been required since the 60's from my understanding.

    States mandate it. It should have came with one. Someone must have been napping on the assembly line.

    All of my Mavericks have/had one. I have yet to get the one on my '72 working though.

    heh, I can't say that I've ever looked. I don't remember one on mine.

    The tags are reflective, if its that dark, by law, shouldn't the cop have his headlights on?
