Great to be on board here with the Maverick bunch. Just bought a 1970 Grabber in that dark yellow color. :) I'm getting excited as I will pick it up tonight from the owners storage. He is the original owner! The car is pretty decent. It has a few bumps but nothing real serious. It is the 250 6cylinder with the C4. I'll try and get some pics tonight and let you know more about it. By the way thinking of leaving it pretty well stock except for a few bolt on stuff , any ideas?
Thanks ahead of time for any thoughts.

welcome to the board. get the car, clean it up, make sure the brakes, tires, and shocks, etc. are in good working order. drive it a while, then decide if you want to keep it stock or do some mods.:Welcome:

Wow! Thanks for the great welcome. Well I went out and got it tonight. We settled on 400.00 which I thought was more than fair. I think he really felt bad letting it go. I would too if I had 35 years into the car.

I've watched the car for a number of years he would bring it here to work during the summertime. Finally he decided to let it go as he had a full plate of things to do. So I figured lightning doesn't strike twice and deciced to go for it. This is my first Ford in a long time. My first car was a '65 ford Fairlane 500 with the 289 and a 4 speed. The last little bit I have dabbled into the Dodge turbo Shelbys owned 3 of those and when the last turbo went South, I had enough.I sold the Shelby and here I am with the Grabber and truly looking forward to having a lot of fun with it.And making a lot of new friends in the Mav world.

The drive home was awesome! The car purred like a kitten. My wife claims she had a hard time keeping up! I'm impressed with the little 250 6 cylinder,it has close to 250k on it and never been overhauled. The C4 is original too. The steering was a little loose but I expected that and the brakes had no pull to them. So in the next little bit is the time to decide what to do with it.

Don't know how to compress pictures but these are the best I can do for the moment. It is after I gave it a quick wash to see what was under all the dust. Also the original sales reciept for 2550.00.

I would love to have copies of all that stuff for my registry.
