I think its a good time to show I've actually been working on the old rustbucket...

Got the floorpans done, need to weld the bottom of the floorpan, but that's all lined up with the 4 post lift. The passenger door is done, the passenger fender is done and trying to fit with the car. I need to paint the inside of the cowl and weld it to the body and a little work in the driver's door and she's ready for paint.

With any luck, I'll find the happy medium between working enough to work on the car and enough time to work on the car within the next couple of months and getting it going again. Before I'm finished, the AOD will be rebuilt to handle no less than 350hp and the engine will be built according to whatever my hair brained idea may be at the time I have the funds.

Ford/Merc had a great idea putting that workbench on the front of the car doubling as a bumper! ;)

Congrats on the progress. 'Much admiration for anyone who takes on a project that involved.

Your not by your self. My car looks okay from the outside but I don't want to show the inside. Maybe I will get on it later this year.

btw, got it fitted this afternoon, close enough I can make up the difference with the primer.
Now I've got to take it apart again and get it prepped for painting and paint the inside, then fight with the fitment again.

Alls I need is time and money... and time... and money...

Seriously, if I had the parts and the time, I could get it rolling again in about two weeks. It'll probably be Christmas '06 by the time I get it done, but...

:rofl2: I know what you mean! I'm about 6 grand (that I don't have) away from getting my car so the inside and the outside aren't the same thing and it will actually power itself. We're trying to save up some money right now for when my wife goes on maternity leave, so it will be about 5 or 6 months before I can even start to save up the money I don't have. That's assuming we'll have some extra money with a kid around. I'm 26 right now and the goal is to get the car done before I'm 30. I figure it's do-able.

Now what kind of a question is that? Where would I put my ratchet while I'm getting a beer?

    :p

Nah, I like the big bumpers, could use some rust free ones tho...
