Thanks everyone for your advice. I will basically get either autolite or motorcraft. I would get ngk but they are pretty expensive and I am trying to save money right now. Thanks for all of the wonderful input as I need all the help that I can get. I'll let you all know if anything goes wrong, it shouldn't. Thanks Jeri
i've used hundreds of Bosch, Autolite and Champion plugs and I have never had a problem with any of them!!
I think you just have to experiment and see what works for you. I have the older plugs (13/16"), so my options are pretty limited. Really, i don't think you can go wrong... Some brands arent' that great in my opinion, but they'll still work.
/. Spark plugs are so basic that I'm not sure if anyone makes one that is noticably better than the other brands. Oh except those splitfires, those are guaranteed to give you 40 extra horsepower .
hum i don't know but i use champions... i not to sure i've never had a problem with them. seems to work for me
ok the last few times ive put motorcraft plugs in my car. it ran alot rougher than normal. ive had best results with the bosch plugs
Just thought I would throw this in MaverickMan, for your application on the boost I would suggest going with an Autolite Racing plug!! It's the best plug for boost/nitrous applications and very easy to read!! As far as the import crowd goes i've heard good things about the Denso Iridium plugs, but who can afford them!!!
yeah i have autolights racing plugs for the blown car... 33's and so yeah i don't uses the champions on that car... i use to run splitfires (infact the splitfires only ran good in that car all my other cars i put them in the dios would get rounded out in less then a month) the roush i run the champs cuz its the only pulg i could find that would fit with the heads and headers. everything else beside accels (with is crap too) won't fit because they are too long. i don't expect this motor to last.. which is fine.. give me an excuse to go though it the right way. just wanna see how much hp to the wheels the thing will give. it aint no race car.. thats what my white cars for! the funny thing is my white will most likey still kick butt over the superchaged one easy! and the blue car... well... i mean don't you notice all the chicks are over the bule one thats what that cars for .. or maybe its just me. but anyways thanks for the insite on the plugs! any info you can give me i'm all ears! i'm sure i'd be stupid not to take advice from someone with a fast car like yours. oh yeah and the Nipon Denso Iridium plugs your right.. 35 bucks each! i can get them at jobber but thats about it. beside i don't trust any of my clients to give me the right cross over plug. they will probably give me a stock cross over 42 motorcraft.
