Sounds like you got yourself a dead cylinder. It's flooding itself out with oil. The compression ring is probably bad on the piston. Do a compression test using compression gage to see if thats the problem. As for the misfiring, check to see if the plug wires are not crossed up.

When you do a compression check; 1st do it dry and note the reading.2nd add about a tablespoon of oil to that cylinder and take another reading. If the compression goe up in step 2 you probably have rings shot. if the compression stays the same it s probably a valve guide. here a valve job would be in order and note to the mechanic of valve guide situation. note: (by dry as in the 1st step, I mean do the test without adding any extra oil to the cylinder. u do that by putting the oil directly in the spark plug hole.) If it points to rings, u probable shoud do a complete rebuild , bearings rings, valves and all. you can't just do one ring. also if a valve guide is worn, they probably all are worn. good luck.

    .

You literally have oil leaking out of ure spark plug hole? Or did you notice oil on the electrode of the spark plug?

I would say that you may have burned a hole in the piston. I have had that happen on a very high milage engine. I think it was due to detonation from oil contamination. I know that the engine was worn out anyway and just kept driving it. One day it finally started blowing a lot of smoke out the exhaust and wouldn't hardly go up a hill. I pulled the plugs and one was oil fouled. Engine tear down revealed the piston. Good luck.

I guess it's kinda hard to do a dry compression test with oil running out of the hole!!

i think i may kinda be able to nurse it over to summer untile i can do a rebuild. you see before i was running 10w - 30 oil in it. well a nighbor suggested that i run 20w-50 in it and put some of that
engine restore stuff that they show on tv. well i did and it smokes just alot less than it did before. and it runs much better now. you cant even hardly see the smoke.
