Every time someone else does an MII front-end, makes me want to do one that much more... Is it just me, or is some of that framing awfully low? :hmmm: Is some of it part of the support it is sitting on?

Im with you Mav-Matt. If I hadnt just put all new suspension under mine and smoothed the engine bay, I would be soooooo tempted to do the swap. Keep us updated with pics Danielm.

I've about completely decided the '74 will get the Mustang II front suspension. I gotta take the front end that far apart and replace a shock tower anyways. May as well just get rid of the shock towers and improve it while it's apart.

As for weight, I'll have to get out to the north 40 and check the tags on my 78 v8 MII. I'll let ya know

Matt Williams and StockHatch, my brother made some improvements in his Dodge, like new front suspension, independent rear suspension,.... and when i saw it and ride it I sad : I have and i need to do those 'thinks' in my Maverick!!! i will post new photos !!!

Jamie Miles, if you have and can do every thing from the 'begin'... make the things only one time, and with the better concepts and materials the market offer to us today ( of course dont forget the "worst part : the budget" )

Did you completely remove your front frame rails? If so, how hard was it? My car will have to have the passenger frame rail completely replaced. I won't be doing the work myself, the guy that tubbed out and installed the rear suspension on my dad's Comet probably will do the work. It's going to take me a couple of years to save up the money.

Yes i completely remove the front frame rails !
Hard !? yes but more than hard, is a work that have to be done with care!!!
My car, as you can see, was totaly fixed in a "table" with a lot of measurements to preserve the alignment of the car structure.

    I am back

with more photos of the "process"..... i think the best thing you can do is:
    1) do something only one time.
    2) and do it clean!!!:bath:

Nice! It is hard to tell from the last pictures...Do you still have a crossmember between the front suspension lower control arm mount points?

Really nice fabrication on this project! The subframe connectors are just too good for words.

I like the solid fabrication table that can be completely leveled. Really makes it easier to be sure of all you measuements, angles, etc.
