im not sure if anyone will remember me but hi to everyone.well its been a year or two and a couple moves later but im getting my mav back on the road. ive just run into some snags.

well basically my gas tank has pin holes like swiss cheese so to get it rolling agin ive patched them with a jb weld type stuff. then on the inside i has the eastwood sealing kit to try to rid myself of sucking rust but im not too faithful in it. is there anyone that sells gas tanks for my 74 mav?

the next problem is my carb basically its just trashed ive cleaned it numerous times before and its never ran quite like ive wanted it to. so where can i get a new carb for my 250. is there any place where they sell them online or could i order it through like an autozone or advanced auto etc etc.

and does anyone sell exhaust gaskets for these things? its annoying when u have exhaust leaks that sound like munchkins tap dancing under your hood.

sorry for the long post just trying to get my ?'s answered without making numerous threads.

when i had the 170 in my car, i bought a 2BBl for it from autozone when i was in Hopkinsville KY. i paid 119.00 for it in 2003. i have since "lost" it.. but will try and find it...

but i think it may have gone to the swap meet out here..

Oreilly has them all beat. 89$ brand spanking new. Its kind of a new chain of stores, but now in KY it seems theres one on every corner. That price is for a 74 with climatic choke, thats what I have.

good info on the carb situation. but the biggest problem i have is the gas tank. does anyone have any idea where i can get a new tank ive tried fixing mine but i doubt its gonna last for long. so without a new one the carb would be pointless.

someone has to know where i can get one. the only alternative i see would be a fuel cell but to me that seems silly on like a daily driver type vehicle and not a drag car.

Any decent Auto Parts store should be able to get the carb and exaust manifold gasket.
