Just found this site. Someone was asking about heads recently so I thought I would post it. 595 shipped! Looks like a great head for the street!

Still would like to see some real world results. IMO, there's no way a factory head can hold a stick to even out-of-the-box aftermarket aluminum heads as far as power/torque/weight reduction go. Maybe I'm way off base.

Brother bought a set of Roush 200's for his Maverick, and I wasn't real impressed with them. I'm told they work well though with a mild cleanup of the ports. I do know that the TRW L2249NF pistons hit the spark plugs though LOL.

Thumper has been in the stock head porting biz quite some time and gets good results for the price.
His heads won't match AFRs etc. but are not expected to.

Bluegrass, agreed! Mavman, the thumpers flow about as well as alum GT40, GT40x, edelbrock performer and TFS street heat according to the flow numbers on Fletch's site! Not bad for a set of boat anchors! Also, they are more durable. However, the AFRs and others are a different story! It would be interesting to compare the thumper heads vs AFRs on a mild motor.

They've been around for a while...
IMHO it's still 100% worth saving the money and getting a set of aluminum heads. They're 50lbs lighter and a million times easier to port. Or for that matter you can pick up a set of GT40 heads from an explorer for ~$200 on ebay.
