i know 2 years is long enough to wait for some pix. i promise i'll figure it out but for now i posted 9 pix of my 71 grabber, truck and trailer in the members gallery. more to follow, but i can't figure out yet how to get them over here. HELP. thanks
Nice ride. save your pictures on your hard drive and go to the additional options section of the posting screen. click the manage attachments button and that should bring up a new screen. click browse and find the file on your hard drive. once selected choose the upload button. now submit your post once youve uploaded the desired photos. hope that helps.
ford motorheads go up to the bar at the top and click on gallery. then click on members gallery. go to don graham. the pix are there. just haven't figured out how to move them here yet.
Very nice! (this is a reduced version - other nice pics are too big to post in thread, but well worth clicking on the link below) see link: http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/browseimages.php?c=8&userid=52
Don, you have a beautiful Maverick. Never a concern over the passenger side rollbar being too low? I believe NHRA rules state that the bar must be higher than your elbow with your hand on the wheel at 3 o'clock position. (I'm too lazy to hunt down my old my rule book) I know mine is close to being below elbow level. Some (okay, a lot) of tracks will let some these things slide though.
the moderator needs to be moderated. no cursing like that on this board ray. by the way have you gotten faster than my 11.965 at 113.66 yet?
rick, got my nhra rule book out. on the side bar it states. "sidebar must be included on drivers side and must pass the driver at a point midway between the shoulder and the elbow." the guy who built it for me works on a number of the funny cars running in this area. also runs a super gas 62 falcon wagon, and his son has a super street 62 falcon wagon. he's been working on race cars since the 60's. it is legal. i started in circle track and made use of the roll cages quite often so i did want to check. thanks. all i know about the color is that i picked a blue that the painter had. my buddy that races chevy's swears that it's vega blue. since those pictures were taken it has all the numbers and names on it in a 2 color scheme. blue on silver. i'll try to take some new pix next week when i go to the track at tucson. thanks for the compliments.
Well, I'm sure it's correct then, by golly! The seats are out of mine now so I can't determine for sure if my bar passes 'midway between my shoulder and elbow'. I'm afeered not. I want to discuss safety harnesses and their mounting with you and other racers also (I'll start another thread for that).
