    Hey All!
I know its been a while since I have posted but we've been busy selling racks and struts here of late and we stalled on the Comet while looking for a complete AC and black interior parts

Oh and I forgot to place a call to Craig about the Comet bumper and stone shield. :90:

We just now have sent off to Alabama for the title on the Comet. Let me say this: South Carolina makes it Beau Coup hard to get a title on a car:mad: . Thats all I got to say about that...For now the poor little refugee is sitting in the back yard waiting for the home builder (we're putting up a 36x36 garage) to get the lot cleared enough to extracate the Merc from its prison and for my buddy to get me a title (note to overseas sellers, no title and no sale, Australia will not allow a car to touch ground with out a clear title and VIN).

I've got some stuff on the way and have located two Comet parts cars that I'm going to get the AC out of--and maybe some other parts as well. The Comet should be departing for The Land Down Under by the end of November. I hope to send it with a set of Hooker long tubes so that we can clear them for this application.

Speaking of, is there anything that you folks would want us to do for the Maverick/Comet suspension wise while its in Oz? Note that we are already scheduled for the following:

    Three Link Rear Axle configurations

    Rack and Pinion

    Already available>
Rear disc kit (easiest to install bar none, and allows you to use your OEM emergency brake cables)

    Strut and brake kits

    Shock tower notching kit

    Any thing else?

How about shock tower braces like the MPG and TCP units that are made for our cars

a nice, competitively priced rack and pinion drag racing unit would be sweet.

I just gotta play:evilsmile advocate.... I'm sure its the main companys locale or something, but why not make the stuff here? instead of shipping a carcass back and forth to make/mock stuff up? sorry to stray, just had to ask.

    Why over there?

Weeeeelllll, since the bloke who owns the company lives in Oz (thats Australia to those of us who just joined the show) I kinda have to stay within the peramiters of the deal--that being that they do the stuff over there. That being said, at some point Matthew (the owner) will, within the next three years, probably establish a residence here and we'll start developing products for this market in this market. Some of that is already happening anyway.

I'm not complaining at all, I get a Comet GT to drive around in that I won't have but about $300 in when all is said an done. A man's gotta like that no matter who signs the paychecks...

    Stnk?

LOL the Shock Tower Notching Kit (Or STiNK to use a military style acronym) is available through me for the Maverick/Comet since RRS have no established dealers for our cars yet. Note that you will have to be running a McPherson strut (no upper A-Arm) front end to use the kit. The Price is $195 and right now takes about two weeks to get here. It comes complete with the metal and paper templates.

    Shock Tower Brace

That is in the making for all applications--including Comet and Maverick. We already have a slick LeMans bar for the Mustang and Cougar that will fit and allow room to remove the distributor--without taking out our LeMans brace. I'll even be sending a hideous Ford booster (I'd like to whack the engineer that thought the booster set up Ford used on the Mav and Cometwas a good idea) so that we can have one that will work with those cars...(y)

Done a search, but didn't find anything on the RRS 71 Comet GT project as described in this month's Mustang and Fords.
Looks like they are going to put in the 3 link rear, 5.4 mod block, and an AOD or T-56 six speed?
Anyone have any more info on this?
