the quote on jasperengines.com i got says: The Price Is: $1863.00 Core Deposit For This Unit Is: $1000.00 Sold On An Exchange Basis w/Jasper Receiving Old Unit As A Core. I know I'm an ass for asking but does that mean I pay $1863 and get $1000 back or pay $2863 and get $1000 back?
I believe it's $2863 and they will give you your 1000 back after you turn in a core and they see if it's any good. Edit: Your to quick Ray!
I agree. You could build a pretty hot little 6 cylinder with a cam and stuff for that much I would think.
Yep...and for just a little bit more you could get this awesome 347 stroker http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8008882977&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
That is a lot for a 6 cyl but Jasper is probably the best remanufacture in the US and their warranty is second to none. 3 yrs, 75K miles, parts & labor. If you install it yourself, they will pay you to fix it. That's why they are more expensive. Sometimes you get what you pay for. I've bought 2 motors and 1 transmission over the years. I was real impressed with the trans I bought for my 96 Bronco because it came with a cooler. The Bronco's have a factory cooler but the instructions said to remove it & throw it away. It's inadequate. Plus it came with 2 pages of mods they made to it that will improve performance and life.
