just my two cents, but i think more of someone who will take a car that is 25 30 years old or as in my case 35 and half years old,and take the time, the blood ,sweat, and tears,to take that car and tear it apart, piece by piece, redo, fix, make any and everything to make it be something that is a part of yourself,,,,,,,,its easy to store buy

Hi, I'm this guy. You know why I posted this? Because Chike comes here and says "Hi, I own the red Subaru, and may the best car win" and he gets accused of cheating and then his car gets trashed. What do you expect me to think of you?

Anyways, we all like cars. All I'm saying is lets have a little respect for each other. I for one really like John's car and I'm not just saying that for the sake of argument.

Hey where did all of these Subaru guys come from? :hmmm:

Just my :2cents:, you don't have nothing to do with a Maverick/Comet get out. :yup:

Voted for the 5th time John. (y)

So what do you think of people who have to design parts for their car, modify everything to fit/work on their car, have to wait for parts because EVERY SINGLE PART ON THE CAR IS SPECIAL ORDER??

There is NOTHING off the shelf for the SVX. Simple as that. We can get Koni inserts if we choose to change out the innards of the strut, because there are none made "off the shelf". We have to have contacts inside places to have parts made for us. We wound up getting a group buy on PWR Racing radiators...after we had an inside contact.

I'd be willing to bet that parts are more readily available for your vehicles, they are interchangeable, they are cross-referenced, and you have a wealth of knowledge of what fits and doesn't.

Regardless of age (of the car), the rarity of this makes it almost impossible to modify without fabrication...which, according to the post I quoted, makes us alike in more ways than others choose to see.

    :) :)

    Agreed.

Heck, look at my dragtime and you'll see a bunch of mis-matched stuff in my car. My 4.44 trans and rear diff are from a '97 Legacy Outback...my performance panel air filter is from an STI...even my light-weight wheels are from an RX-7!(y)

What the hell is going on here. This is not a Subaru forum.

Hate to break it to you guys but Mavericks are basically the same way. Not to many parts are made for these cars.

We are not going on your forums and telling people about our Mavericks. Not sure why you are inclined to come on here and do it.

To put it bluntly, I think the cars are butt ugly, not to mention slow from what I see. And the goody goody attitude is getting old.

I agree with you 100% man. Like I said before you don't own a Maverick, or have nothing to do with one. Get out.

I also think they are butt ugly, and those car's aren't that rare I can see like 4 of them a day. :yup:

I'd say that there is a good chance that you own a Maverick......:biglaugh:  :bananaman Sorry, couldn't resist....:162: I tried to stay out of it, but I just don't have any will-power...... While I don't personally care for Subaru or Toyota or Nissan or Honda or (I could keep going, but I won't) I CAN appreciate that the owner of such cars has the same goals as me- Go faster and look good doing it. That said, I never pass up a good chance to embarass a ricer when the occasion arises. Anyway, let's just not argue about which is better, faster, rarer, uglier......etc. Let's just leave each to his own and drop it...:chillpill ...Please???:bath: (y) Preston

    Oh, and GOOD LUCK JOHN!!!!!

My point exactly!! It's so funny how some of the members insult us, when they too are so much like us. We share the same hardships in finding things for our cars.

To the member who says they can see four of these per day, I would LOVE to see you take IDENTIFIABLE pics of these four cars...since it simply COULD NOT happen unless we were having some sort of get together...
