Transmission question

    could be a 26 spline converter on a 24 spline trans......

    both convertors fit the transmission and the engine.......should the convertor rotate at all when fully seated in the tranny??

    cmon everyone.....really stumped on this deal.......the convertor turns maybe an 1/8 of a turn once it's seated......im thinkin somethin is probably shot here unless someone has an answer.....

    Once it is seated the converter will spin.
    If not, try pulling it back about a 1/4 of an inch and see if it spins.

    hey mav.....ok if its fullly seated it will not spin.....if i pull it out some.....id like to say 1/4 inch but im not sure.....lol......then yes it spins.....if i try that it should work?? I'll hook everything up in the morning now and drop her back in......also will be crossing my fingers.......

    That thing should spin freely when it's fully seated. If I had to guess.....Based on what you've posted already (no fluid in the TC, nothing coming out of the line when it was taken off while running and you are now saying that it will not turn when fully seated) I'd have to guess that the pump gears are broken or bound up somehow.

    well i called a trannsmission specialist...Certified Transmission out of Omaha Neb and they didn't hesitate in telling me that I fried the pump. Soooo....im gonna get a hands on appreciation of how an automatic transmission comes apart....lol......should be a great learning experience....Im also looking for a used replacement transmission....Anyone out there have one for sale?
    Thanks to everyone for the tips and ideas.....will def be an active member in this board since i love my mav so much.....
