What were the years where the deluxe gas cap had the word "Maverick" above the logo, and what were the years that the deluxe gas cap only had the logo on it?

    Thanks,

I'm guessing they changed the cap when they went to unleaded fuel ... 70-74 just steerhead ... 75-77 steerhead plus word MAVERICK. I'm also guessing this because I think the non-deluxe caps just say MAVERICK on them for 75-77 ...

Lol, I don't "have" either one of those caps, the pics were from eBay auctions (one sold for $51, the other sold for $61). A friend asked me what my first car had on it, and it's funny, because I'm typically a "detail" person, but I can't remember for sure if my Stallion had the one with just the logo, or the logo plus the name (I lean towards the one without the name on it, but not positive, that was 27 years ago, lol). As far as getting one for my "new" Maverick, I would take either one!

Funny thing, a Comet deluxe cap just sold a week or so ago, NOS, excellent condition, still in the box, but only sold for $30 bucks or so. Wish there was an easy way to change the centers!
