    Well here they are:

The third pic is the one that worries me the most. The radiator is pushed back into the engine fan. Are these underbody pieces (radiator support, shock towers, etc) replacable?

Man, I miss driving it already.

That'll buff out! :) ... I see NOS radiator supports pop up on eBay from time to time ... there were two on there a couple of weeks ago. The right front fender apron is one of the toughest parts to find NOS - I've seen way more NOS 1/4 panels than those fender aprons... With those two parts and a weekend with a Grinder and Mig Welder it would be good as new ....

Looks like the frame is still straight. The radiator support and all is replaceable. I would start searching the junk yards. :)

My car isn't wrecked but it needs those exact same parts repalced due to rust.

It dont look that bad to me. Most good body shops have frame machines. If you strip the car down they could probably put it on their rack and have it pretty straight for just a couple of hours labor.

Hurry up ... call Green Sales first thing in the morning ... they have a NOS radiator support in stock. Part # D0DZ16138A http://www.greensalescompany.com

They don't have the fender apron though ... I know Mavaholic has one but he won't give it up .... :)

Here are some pictures of me replacing the same parts on an old Grabber that WaynesFord now owns ... this was my first unsupervised welding experience ... turned out pretty good ...

definately not a total. seen worse repaired. i would get the repair quotes and tell the insurance adjuster thats what you want, with no "total". like i said HARD NOSED! even if you need to just hammer that fender support and radiator support out for now, it could be knocked out with a ball peen until you get the panel. just my :2cents:

My dad had a '84 Mustang GT that he put over 500,000 miles on. He sold it in 1998 to some guy in his early 20's.. In 2001, the guy hit a cement median on an interstate and rolled it 3 1/2 times. Needless to say it was not fixable and the guy driving was lucky to be alive. It had over 600,000 on it when it was totaled. At 600,000 it was on it's second 302, second 8.8 rear, and 3rd T5 transmission.

That car was well on it's way to being probably the first Mustang to ever make it to 1,000,000 miles. To bad it got wrecked.

aquilaprime, are the wheels on your Mav off of a Mazda pickup?

    Sorry for getting off topic...

I had my hubby take a look at the pictures and he said " Easy fix." The car is by no means totaled. The front frame does appear to be swayed over a bit, but can be easily pulled back over. If you want know how to tell if the frame is swayed over, take a tape measure and measure form the left side rear fender bolt the right side front fender bolt. Then measure from the left front fender bolt to the right rear fender bolt. The measurements should be the same. If they are not, the frame is swayed over. It's not that hard to fix that car.

I would define those pics as light collision damage. All can definately be straightened by a competant frame technician.

I think I have the radiator support and fender well covered (I think). The thing I'm having the toughest time finding is a good hood and grille.

    any recommendations?

maybe this is the time to get the grabber hood.

    dunno.
