Today, at the Atlanta Assembly Plant, the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation held their annual charity car and truck show. We were represented by 4 cars belonging to Dan Hines (top 50 winner), Earl Branham, Jamie and Tyler Miles, and Kevin Showey (new guy, parked his '73 Comet GT with us). There were about 150 or so cars and trucks, and a display of the new vehicles Ford has to offer. Here are some pics of the show.
Hey Earl ... can you get those pictures any smaller! FYI ... The Comet GT is for sale ... He was asking $4,000 ... he was offered ... $3,000 ... and turned it down ... I have some larger pics if anyone is interested .. He is supposed to be coming on this site so maybe he will list it for sale ... It's just about a rust free car ... Probably the main thing it needs is a driver side door ... big dent and rot in the bottom. It is all original Red paint and Black interior. Buckets with Floor Shift Auto. Passenger seat split at seam. He told me it has a Mexican Block 302 with 289 heads. Electronic Ignition, Holley, disc brakes, Grabber Spoiler ... Some guy offered to trade his 72 Torino for my Grabber .. I said no thanks ..
Dan; yeah, I kinda make them too small. I have them saved, so if you want them, I can mail them to you. Sorry 'bout that folks!
Here are some pics .... They are of the 73 Comet for sale (has a 72 Front bumper on it ) ... The 65 Comet are some pics I took for a friend of mine who just bought one and is fixing it up .... BTW ... That Comet looks awesome in the pictures ... but every panel had lots of dings and dents. If I bought the car I would replace both doors and possibly both fenders just to save on a whole lot of labor. The hood and roof were straight. 1/4's and decklid need a bit of smoothing. http://homepage.mac.com/dmhines/PhotoAlbum114.html
Earl, send them to me to. I forgot our digital camera today. Man I wish I could have got that Comet grill to fit last night. Ohh well.
Earl, did you get any pics of that red '67 tubbed out fast back Mustang with the blown 460? I just found out that was a guy my dad knows and used to run around with.
