    scoop

up22.com has fiberglass cowl induction scoops for Mavericks.
If it's just a scoop you're after there are tons to be found on ebay
or if you want something really unique, I happen to have a couple of L-88 style scoops that would need to be molded in.(I know, I know. It's sacrelidge to put a Chevrolet style scoop on a ford)
I was going to do it, but decided I'm going to try to get away with a flat hood if it fits after the nitrous plate is installed.
I'll post a pic of the scoop if you're interrested.

my scoop is the aero style from us body in florida. they advertise as the only manufacturer to mold the whole hood in 1 piece. it's a pin on hood. cost is $349, $10 crating charge. what hurt was the shipping from florida by truck $150.

I admit I spent over $1000.00 on a hood for my '90 Mustang vert.

    $400.00 for the bare hood
    $180.00 shipping
    $300.00 finish and paint
$150.00 dual nozzle nitrous purge added

That was when I had money (before buying my Maverick :D)

The shipping cost is a killer - but didn't someone say on here that Greyhound will ship for like $50?

    Re: Scoops...

...The Comet GT hood scoop, also used on Cougar Eliminators in '69-'70 and the '68-'69 Cyclones used the same scoop, are available from Tony Branda Mustang/Shelby. I think that they are around $125 and they fit the contour of the Maverick stock hood lines.
