    hey fordman..

Does both your batteries run to the silenoid? or do they have different jobs? I have thought about running 2 in mine. Thanks for any info.

Thanks, I will probably get another one. Let me ask you one more questions. Do you run 2 seperate cables to the starter?

So you ran both positive cables to the battery shut-off switch, then went with one to the starter from there?

Jamestown Distributors sells battery cable by the foot. They also have good prices in stainless hardware. I have bought a bunch of stuff from them.

I am not sure I understand. If you have the batteries grounded in the back of the car to the frame, whats the one(ground) up front for? Thanks again for your help.

Hey Fordman was just wondering what your cam specs were. In my 289 I had a hydraulic .498 intake .520 exaust lift 224 intake 234 exaust cam. It ran 12.66 at 106 with 5.43 gears and 30 in. tall tire I was going through the lights at about 6900. I switched to a solid lift cam .576 intake .570 exaust lift 255 intake 266 exaust duration. I am also going to a 1 in. taller tire and I swithched from a ported edelbrock performer intake to victor jr. Haven't had it back to the track yet hopfully this weekend. Do you think I will see any better times at the strip.

i have never ran a 289 my old 302 had 289 rods .927 pin 302 crank 350 chev pistons flat top .025 out of the deck anyway the cam i run is comp cam xr 280 INT 608 242 EXH 614 248 SOLID ROLLER this cam put me in the 10.80-95(this cam is for a 3.55 - 3.70 gear i have a 3.70 28 10.5 15 tire) the victor jr lost me a 1/2 sec on 60 ft went back to the rpm dual plane 600 HP holley i only run 6200 rpm this thing makes lots of torque you may need the upper rpm with your 289 don,t over look the ram air box (4") it,s a good 3 tenths for about 125.00 this is cheap and easy 3 tenths i have found give us a up date on your trip to the strip
