There is a parking switch built into the wiper motor. I'd just get another motor and replace it. I hope you dont have factory air. Its going to be a bitch if you do.

    Thank U Mavaholic

Just one question more, the wiper motor need to be of another maverick or there are other donors where I can get it??

Well, first I'll try to open the wiper motor and fix it. I dont have factory air and I remove the dashboard of my maverick, I have been fixing all the things under the dashboard, insulation of the firewall, measurers, defrost, etc... there are many persons who likes the maverick in México, we try to maintain in good conditions.

As far as I know, the mavericks and Comets are unique to themselves, but you never know for sure.

I had the same problem with my 70, and I thought it was the motor as well, but try replacing the wiper switch before you attack the motor. It will save you a lot of time, and hopefully it'll work for you as it did me. Changed the switch, and works good as new.

Thank you for all your comments,
You are lucky guys having at the hand new spare parts or used, to bring parts from there (US) is expensive (taxes, shipping etc), and to obtain here is something hard, nonimpossible, but usually they are used parts.

    Thank you four help.(y)
