How hard is it to replace the bushing in the tail shaft? This weekend I am replaceing the inner and outer tie rod ends, idler arm, U joints, and gaskets in the transmission. I noticed the other night when I was running my new brake line, I can wobble the drive shaft around in the end of the transmission. My dad says there is a tail shaft bushing in there I need to replace. I may end up pulling out the whole transmission and would like to replace this bushing while I'm at it. Will I need any special tools?
You Will Have To Remove The Tailshaft Housing And Drive It Or Cut It Out From The Back You Should Have A Bushing Driver To Install So You Don't Flare The End If The Bushing Has A Hole In It Make Sure You Re Install It In The Same Place
