In my case, you start with the driver. :hmmm:

What are you trying to accomplish? Is this for the street, street/strip, or strip? Depending on which of those, you have several choices. Fiberglass doors, hood, fenders, bumpers, and deck lid are available via aftermarket. Moving the battery to the trunk helps balance the weight from front to rear. What is safe and applicable depends on your goals.

-Take out all the seats/interior trim panels except one bucket for the driver,
-Remove all insulation and sound proofing,
-Aluminum engine parts like heads, intake, etc.,
    -Headers instead of exhaust manifolds,
    -Aluminum wheels
    -....

i guess you need to tell us what the purpose of the car is. street, strip, street/strip? if it is for the track since you live right outside firebirds front door, then you can remove the seats, put in a racing seat, aluminum wheels, radiator, heads, pull out the heater controls, windshield wiper motors. take out the gas tank and replace it with a fuel cell, glass hood and other parts. depends on how fast you can afford to go.i was at firebird sat night, but won't be back there until sep 17th for the last team race.stop on by if you get a chance.:)

Sounds great, looks like I only need about 10 grand to do what I want.:drink:
I need to make more money than I am now before I can even think about doing these things, but thanks.

I dont really know what I want, mabye its a rally style mav, which I know would cost a ton more than even you guys are thinking, so thanks for your replies, and I would love to keep receiving your input.

Perhaps is there a lighter suspension system on the market that works for mavericks?

And firebird sounds great, dose it cost to run there? As soon as I get my Engine running smoother I might try my hand at it.
