got my brochure for the ffw in ennis, texas in the mail yesterday. the picture of the car show has a white maverick with big tires on it in the front row. can see about 2/3 of the car. dates are september 16-18 by the way.
I sure wish my car would be ready by then. To do list: * Procure and install Safety Harness * Install Glass hood * Align Front End * Cut 1-1/2" off rear lowering blocks (car sits too low in rear) * Take a BFH to the tunnel in the area around the tranny tail shaft (DS too close) Hmmm... maybe?
Come on Rick Book, you could get that done in one evening after work. I have some serious work to do to be able to race at the Fontana, CA FFW...It's not looking good for me.
October 1 and 2. You gotta come out. I'll be there for sure even though my car may not be ready for racing
Oops. Forgot one little MAJOR thing - take it to the dyno for motor/nitrous (A/B) tune. But that should only take one day also. Who knows, it could happen.
that's a bad weekend for me as the et finals are the next weekend at speedworld in phoenix. i'm presently #1 in points for sportsmen in tucson. hate to break something the week before, not much time to get it fixed. i'll definitely be at the one in phoenix.
I might make it if there is nothing else going on that weekend. The Texas Mav Meet is somewhere around then, also. Maybe the next weekend?
i have some extra lowering blocks. they are either 1 or 1 1/2". you could swap them around if that will help you.
Okay guys. You haven't had your morning coffees I see. F.Y.I. I did procure and install a Safety Harness, I did install the Glass hood, I did semi-align front end, I did cut 1-1/2" off lowering blocks, and I did take a BFH to the tunnel in the area around the tranny tail shaft. Whew! I've been a busy man over this passed year! P.S. I'm sitting out this year's FFW at Ennis. I need to save for go-fast parts.
Damn!!! I didn't recognize that I restarted an old link from last year. Sorry... I still want to do the Waco meet...
