what years did ford use the rail typr rocker arms on the 302? i'm coming up with 67-78. did they go any later than that?? thanx
I think 78 was the change over year. I had 2 sets of 78 heads and one set was rail type the other was pedistal. clint
FRPP catalog says bolt on pedestal type are 1978-up. i have some D5AE heads that are pos stop stud types, not pedestal sealed power catalog also says rail type are for up to 1978.
Just goes to show you that Ford has a sence of humor. They knew that people would be working on these things so decided to throw out some odd ball stuff to keep us guessing. lol If it was easy like chuvy stuff anybody could do it. lol clint
STManser, 5/16 or 3/8 pedestal mount? 5/16 was stock and there are quite a few pedestal mount 5/16 available for conversion, 3/8 is more popular for people wanting to convert to pedestal mount tho. edit: waitaminute tho... you said previously they came from like a 77-78 F100 right? or am I remembering wrong? The casting numbers don't always mean that was the year sold, E7's ran quite a while...
