headers

has anybody ever used the headers they have
@ summit -the chep ones($87)?

my uncles friend told me they are relly hard to put in mavs

 

I have never tried them, BUT, if you do a search on here, I think that you will find that nobody has had much luck with getting them to fit. In fact, I don't recall ever hearing of anyone who was able to get them to work.

I just installed the Hedman's recently, and they fit great! No "modifications" to either the car or the headers. I do not have power steering though.

yeah i hear hedman's are good to install but there too expensive for me right now

i did read a post that someone put the summits in their mav/comet
but i cant find it anymore

 

Got Hooker 6901's on mine.

 

are there other headers for under $100

Headers definitely.

I previously had Blackjack headers on mine, they fit good with the exception of having to rework the left collector to clear the trans correctly. I believe Blackjack is now owned by DynoMax, but not sure it is the same product. I replaced them with Hooker 6901's. The Hooker headers are heavier and built better IMO. Never owned Hedman's but I hear they are as nice as well. The Hooker 6901's are well worth the $150.

and spend a lil'extra on the mav
