I am wondering if anyone knows of headers that will work on a 72 Maverick with a 302, power steering and C4 with the shifter on the columb. Any info will be greatly apreciated. Thanks MAVROCK 72
Thanks for the quick replys. The drop bracket is no problem, I have a left over from a 65 Mustang. My consern is the linkage down next to the steering box.
I have super cops, column shift , but I remod the linkage. At first I tray to put the original linkage after installing headers, brain damage, then i throw away the middle part of linkage and weld together upper and lower arm of tree part linkage and bend in wright angle. Important is the upper and lower arm shud look to the same direction as they was. In other ways they dont sit back in the bushings.
do you have these on mav -and were they hard to install? and were can i get me a pair i cant seem to find any
Yes I have them on my '72. I bought them new in '87. The specs seems to have changed since I got mine, 30" tubes vs 34", and 8" collector vs 10". Mine being the latter specs. They fit great. The price you got is probably coated, Summit has them for 389.95 uncoated.
