a friend of mine was at the trash recycle station today. he saw a mav. go by on a skid truck.after a short run he was able to stop him. he called me on my cell phone and i bought it over the phone. the car was heading to the crusher. i saw somewhere where you could run the vin. # and tell what ops. were on the car. any help would be nice. the vin# is f3k93l1906f. thanks...frank...
While we're decoding... I've lost the little blue placard on the driver's door of my Mav. Can someone tell me where 5K92L149005 was manufactured? Thanks! Atzy.
Well, 71Gold, that car is a Grabber with a 250 and it was built in Kansas City. Atzy - Your Mav was built in Kansas City as well. -Corbin
Hey Johnson, Here is the info on your car: It is a 1970 2 door sedan with the 170 cubic inch six cylinder engine. It was also built in Kansas City. -Corbin
No, not really. I just looked up the code numbers in your vin on the corresponding chart, and boom, there is your info. -Corbin
No problem 71Gold! Can I assume you are going to do a little parts shopping!? Or perhaps, a little car shopping? Have fun, and let us know what happens. I swear, all the Mav finds happen to other people. I don't need another car, but need is different than want. -Corbin
Corbin Here's my theory on need vr's want. I NEED to be happy... The things I WANT make me happy. So... NEED = WANT It's just simple math. Russ
I like your logic Russ! Makes sense to me. I remember doing those types of problems in math, but those were around three years ago, so I didn't remember the sheer simplicity of that equation. They don't seem to teach us those things in Pre Calc this year; they always need to make it more complicated. -Corbin
