Grabber Rear Spoiler

    1971 Mav with all the trimmings....302 Auto, Custom buckets, Power Brakes, A/C, PS, Grabber hood, spoiler, and mirrors.
    Question for the experts: On the grabber models with the rear spoiler, is there a seam between the trunk lid and the spoiler itself? I saw one yesterday that had a seam on it but I don't recall seeing them on fixed up mavs with rear spoilers.

    If you mean that you can tell that the spoiler is obviously bolted on the the trunk lid and not part of the trunk lid - then yes - there is a "seam."

    One other question....if you have the rear spoiler, can you use the stock edge pieces from a non-grabber car or are they different for the grabber version? The pieces i'm talking about curve up around the tailpanel from the rear bumper to the trunk lid.

    You are talking about the quarter panel extensions. The quarter panel extensions used on cars with a rear spoiler are are not the same as the standard extensions. They are taller and shaped to continue the spoiler effect to the edge of the car. You need to have the entire three piece set - the spoiler and the matching extensions ...
