Need to know quick!

    This is gonna sound funny, but can I just bolt a Comet hood on my Mav and will it still latch on the Mav latch?

    I know it won't match the grill or nothin, but will it latch ok? I found a REAL nice Comet hood, but have no way to get it home, so I just want to pull the hood of the Mav and drive down there and bolt it on and drive back with it. Then I'll put my Mav hood back on when I get home with the Comet hood.

    I did not think the hood latch was in the same place. Maybe it just had a longer lever on it... probably now that I think of it.

    Got it! 25 bucks for a perfect rust free hood and perfect front trim! :thumbs2:

    Also got the V8 brace thing for 9 bucks. :)

    Going back to get the V8 frame mounts tomarrow hopefully. Someone done took the V8 trans cross member. :huh: It's a '76 Comet 4 door in a certain junkyard around here. :)

    We got some strange looks going down I-85 with no hood on the car. :biglaugh:

    No problem .. one less thing to bring to the round up ... Here is a pic ... try to visualize it without all the greasy fingerprints on it ..
