Your dizzy a dual diaphram? if so, did you connected to the front port and capped the top port off? You capped all the PVS valves also? so not using any correct?

Single diaphgram dizzy since I went to a Duraspark. The original had two vacuum connections but was only connected on the front port. Not sure what a PVS is ...

PVS? maybe I have the initials wrong. but the 1 or 2 ( MINE HAS 2) vaccuum switches/ports off the Thermostat housing and near the lower heater hose at the block one has 3 posts the other 2. I think they somehow control vaccuum by how warm or cold the engine is.

I know what you mean now .... I am not using them .... I think it controls timing based on engine temp ...

DM thaks for all your help. Now I have to decide if I want to cap the vacuum nipples or remove the whole assembly and put pugs in place of the PVS, PVC, PMS, whatever they are called.

Jamie, how did you do your vacuum?

There is no vacuum in the pvs .. no need to cap it off ..

What's different? No A/C and single to the C4?

The vacuum canister in your diagram. That's the coffee can? where does the other post of that go? Through firewall to a/c stuff? It may know when I look at my car but right now all my dash is apart from a Heater core change so I haven't looked at what there runs back through firewall.

Yup .. the other hose off the can goes through the firewall and back into the dash ... Then there is a hose coming out of the firewall and connects to the heater valve or something ... I didn't touch those so I didn't put them in the diagram ...

After dumping the EGR, I have one from the carb to the vac. advance and one from the intake to the trans. :)

Couldn't see much need for the rest of that crap. 5,000 miles since then and the car is still running fine...

That will work since you don't have A/C ...

On my Grabber with the 4-speed the only one I have is the Carb to Dizzy .... nothing else ...
