Hello everyone! This is my first time posting.I own a 1972 Mercury Comet GT. My dad Bought it brand new. I bought it from him in 1984. I have totally restored it. It's red with black Comet stripes.It has black bucket seats with black interior. It came with the clock console.Things that have been done paint,new stripe kit,302/347 stroker,C4 trans,3000-3500 stall,w/ B&M trans pack shift.The rear end is an 8 inch, with 380 gears,it has 2 chamber flowmaster,chrome long tube headers from flowtech,GT40 heads,ported and polished,202/160 screw in studs and guide plates,with roller rockers,comp cam hardened push rods,camshaft, also by comp cam,236 duration with 528 lift,double springs,aluminum caps,AED racing double pumper center square carbuerator,griffin radiator,MSD distributer,MSD rev limiter with 8000 chip,and it is chromed to the max. 9 quart moroso oil pan,and last but not least March performance pulleys.
I haven't tried this motor out yet. I am waiting on open house at the Rockingham N.C. drag strip. They have a car show once a year and you get to run them through the 1/4 to see how you do. Last year I ran 135 through the 1/4 mile. It's a mean machine to hold . It has more goodies and I can feel the POWER............
Laurel Hill is in Scotland County. I am about 2 1/2 hours from Raleigh. It was 135miles per hour in the 1/4.
