Well here are some photos of where I am now. Cowl top drilled out and patched, (not rewelded back yet), Drums converted to disks on front, new shocks, cut 1 coil from coil springs, and just finished doing the PA performance Alt upgrade 95A. The heater core was shot so I have the dash out (mostly) and have a new heater core but I am trying to find an A/C evaporator before I put it all back up. Mine should be OK but new one could save me from pulling it all apart again. I have the White guage faces installed, and an interior swap to buckets (already here) and Black interior to come shortly. Next project today is rear brakes, I need to replace the brakes and wheel cylinders and I am hoping that is where my emegency brake cable is froze up. when that is done reweld the cowl then start body work and paint. Interior last.

Yup all outside. My 2.5 car garage is now an office/studio and my doors are only 5' wide. Maybe if I take the wheels off and turn it on it's side I can get it in there?

"The cowl is a fun job, aint it?" UH HUH, but not as bad as I anticipated.

I figure if I turn the car on it's left side and push it in I can put it on it's right side to push it out and both sides should match right?

PS. got both rear wheel cylinders in, Rear brakes, and installed the 95A PA Performance Alternator today. Tomorrow comes freeing the emergency brake cable.

The inside/bottom was rusted out so I drilled out all the spot welds and removed the top. then fiberglassed the bottom. Just have to reweld the top back on now. I would have welded patches in but I still have a lot of wireing in the dash and didn't want to risk it.

heh, you're lucky. I didn't have enough solid steel left to fiberglass it. Definately get some really good paint or POR15 or something on whats left of the steel cowl before you weld it back up. Mine looked solid in the center of the cowl, as soon as I hit it with the wirebrush on the hand held grinder it looked like the night sky...

I had to build my car living in an apartment complex. Made a few enemies on that one, but it can be done. Just never give up!
