I believe those are Chinese made clones of Edelbrock heads. There are a lot of Chines made clones of Edelbrock manifolds for sale on e-Bay. I know nothing of the quality.

    1. Lack of a name on the heads.
    plus
    2. Lack of a name in the description.
    plus
    3. You aren't buying brand new Edelbrock, AFR, TrickFlow, etc., that cheap.
    equals
    Knockoff - usually from China.

It is just a really good guess based on past experiences.

I read and article about imitation parts. It has gone to a new level.
There are Korean & Chinese companies making copies of Hondas,
complete motorcycles, in addition to all kinds of car and truck parts.

I think I read on another board where someone had purchased a set. The ports were very rough. The short side radius needed attention. The rocker studs were not placed correctly (pushrod hit the pushrod holes) and a couple valve seats appeared to be incorrectly installed. On the flow bench, they didn't do much better than the ported E7TEs, and they had 212cc intake ports...which killed low lift flow and velocity.

Bottom line: you get what you pay for.

I have heard the same as others...
The parts are very 'fuzzy' copies of brand name stuff.
Rough castings, rough edges, inconsistent, etc...
You notice that they don't offer a good selection of pics. No close up either.

When folks are trying to sell good heads online, they generally post plenty of pics and practically shove the camera down the ports to show you details.

    Two quotes come to mind:
    Buyer beware
    or
There is a sucker born every minute

The thing that costs is not the aluminum/iron/steel, etc, it is quality control. Cheap parts are cheap parts.

I've heard that these heads are not bad, but they are for highly modified engines running at higher RPM's. More for racing...and you need to know what you are doing because you have to add valves, springs, etc. They could be good for a racer because racers generally port and clean up whatever heads they get anyways. The less knowledge and experience one has, the less risk they should take and the more they need to rely on the experience and reputation of the seller IMO.

Like me for example: I have no experience and I is dumb so I be buying AFR heads.

Austrailia has strong ties to East Asia when it comes to subbing out manufacturing.
These folks probably commissioned the head and had China make it.
I doubt China unilaterally went out and decided to build heads and intakes to flood our market with cheap copies, they just offer the manufacturing base for others to flood our market with cheap copies.

    Bet you're dead on.

About the Australia-China thing. Also a lot of the metal work out of china is real garbage, the stuff breaks if a strong wind hits it. Taiwan on the other hand is usually pretty good. I did the same take as Terry on this stuff when I first saw it. If it sounds too good to be true...... avoid it like the plaque.
